GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Standard CIF play and safety Rules & Regulations apply.
- A Home and Visitor side will be designated at each field. Spectators shall remain on the same side of the field as their team. Coaches are responsible for the actions of team spectators. Coaches are confined to their respective sides of the field within the coaching area.
- The Home team shall provide the game ball and must change in case of a color conflict.
- Yellow Cards: Player must sit out for not less than 5 minutes. A player accumulating 3 yellow cards may be banned from remaining games.
- Any Coach / Parent receiving a Red Card must immediately leave the area. A player receiving a red card will be suspended from play for no less than 1 game and the player MUST ATTEND the suspended game as a spectator. The player will not be allowed to return to team play until the player has attended one of their games as a spectator. Two red cards are cause for expulsion from the tournament.
- A referee's call is FINAL. It is not protestable. A referee may "suspend" a game and after Director review, it may result in a loss for the offender. No game may be "terminated ", except by review of the Tournament Director.
- Forfeiture may be called if a team is not ready to play at start time and will result in a 0-1 loss. If your field is available, Games may start 10- minutes earlier than posted, so be prepared.
- The Tournament Director's decisions are FINAL.
- Player eligibility: This is a JV and F/S tournament. Only the Coach and school AD can be responsible for player abuses and this tournament will not tolerate stacked teams. Probation or no future invitations to return are our only deterrent. Please help us keep the spirit of this competition alive. JV players can not have lettered in Varsity soccer last year. Players who did not play in their first scheduled game, must get permission to play in any other game from the Tournament Director. Players may not play on two teams in one tournament (CIF).
GAME RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Game Length: 60 Minutes. (Championship Games 70 Minutes)
- Games must have a winner.
- Awards: Trophy and Medals for Championship winning teams. Trophy and Medals for Finalists. Trophy for 3rd and 4th place teams. Trophy for Consolation Champion and Finalist.
OVERTIME RULES
- Overtime # 1- A full 5-minute period will be played.
- Overtime # 2- If the game is still tied, a second 5-minute sudden victory period will be played and the first team to score a goal will be declared the winners.
- Overtime # 3- If there is still a tie, go directly to penalty kicks. Only players who are on the field of play at the end of a match are allowed to take kicks from the penalty mark, that means at the end of the 2nd overtime period if there is still a tie, these are the players who will take the penalty kicks. Only eligible players and match officials may remain on the field of play when kicks are being taken. All players, except the player taking the kick and the two goalkeepers, must remain inside the center circle. The goalkeeper who is the teammate of the kicker must remain on the field of play, outside the penalty area in which the kicks are being taken, on the goal line where it meets the penalty area boundary line. The teams will alternate taking a kick. Each kick is taken by a different player and all eligible players must take a kick before any player can take a second kick.
- Red Carded teams (in regulation time) continue to play short sided in OT.
